The path sets out from Adahuesca. For the first part of the walk we follow signs for the “Leyendas al Paso” (Legends on Foot) route which leads us to the “Pozo Fuente” (Well Spring), the “Ermita de Treviño” (Treviño Chapel) and the “Fuente de la Alcantariella” (Alcantariella Spring). When we get to this last spring we double back on ourselves for 300 metres and take the westward track back to Adahuesca.
This is a 4.3 kilometre circular walk with a 50 metre elevation gain.
The main interest of the route lies in the contrast between the ocre tones of the farming areas and the dark green colours of the small copses of Holm Oak, with a surprising diversity of flora including Phlomis lychnitis, White Asphodel (Asphodelus albus), Common Poppy (Papaver rhoeas), Ribwort Plantain (Plantago lanceolata), Viper’s Bugloss (Echium vulgare), Spanish Sage (Salvia lavandulifolia), Etruscan Honeysuckle (Lonifera etrusca), Wild Daffodil (Narcissus), Field Eringo (Eryngium campestre), Bladder Campion (Silene vulgaris) and a wide variety of wild orchids.
