Legend says that a tailor from Luesia was requested to urgently go to Biel one night. Approaching Collado del Correo he felt the presence of a bandit behind him, since something was constantly tapping his back. Without turning around, he shouted several times: “let me go, I’m on my way to Biel”, but the bandit ignored him. Eventually, he turned around raising his scissors and ready to stab the bandit. He suddenly realised it was a bramble branch and very seriously, but still scared, said to the branch: “It would have been all the same to me if you were a man”.

This Trail of Legend offers you a hike with 10 stops along the way to enjoy interesting stories related to each specific spot. To follow the route and identify the stops you need to DOWNLOAD the TRACK and the FACT SHEET from the DOWNLOADS section of each stage or route.
The route starts in the Fuente de la Artica shelter, in the heart of the protected landscape known as Sierra de Santo Domingo, which is accessed by a well-defined track that starts in the football field of Luesia. Then, leave the track behind and walk cross-country until you reach the curve of the track near the charcoal kiln replica. We suggest visiting it and then following the trail up to Collado del Correo and down through Fayar de Gozapaño until you reach the start of the route.
We strongly recommend taking this route with our nature guide, Jose Antonio de Sendynat, owner of Casa Balana. Water and provisioning in Luesia (we recommend Bar Restaurante Puy Moné).
