Back in time
An adventure experience in Cinco Villas for families on planet Earth, where we can all encounter the four elements of nature: EARTH, WATER, FIRE AND AIR.
Our adventure starts in Las Bardenas, a landscape of pine trees and desert where lights and shadows meet. We prepare a family breakfast in the heart of nature where a guide will show you the most beautiful locations and secrets of this region known as Las Bardenas.
During our adventure we will also visit castles, but don’t worry, there aren’t any dragons. First we will climb up the Castle of Sádaba to touch the sky and then we will visit the Castle of Uncastillo where we will walk through the lovely streets of this medieval town.
Our adventure continues through the magical forests of Luesia in the Sierra de Santo Domingo mountains. We will take a walk with one of our forest rangers to discover some of the best kept secrets of trees, plants and wildlife. He will tell you where the “churrundún”, a fabulous creature of the forest, lives.
To conclude our adventure, we will visit Ejea and learn how our ancestors farmed the land and used water. You will also find out about big agricultural machinery in the past and other surprises at the Aquagraria Museum.

FIRE
To find FIRE, we will have to go to Las Bardenas.
At your arrival, you will be welcomed with a delicious breakfast in the heart of this Aragonese desert surrounded by pine trees. Enjoy the scenery and the play of light and shadow in this almost lunar landscape.
Then we will cross the Natural Park of Las Bardenas by car, visiting and discovering the strange and alien rock formations, such as “Castildetierra” or “Rincón de Bú”. You will probably think you are on the Moon!
If you overcome the desert challenge in search of the forbidden geometry, our guide will give you the first element.
AIR
Do you want to find the second element?
To this end you will have to be true warriors and dare to climb to the top of the tower battlements of the Castle of Sádaba. You don’t know what a battlement is? Don’t worry, our guide will explain what it is and take you to the top of the castle to see whether you can overcome the challenge of enduring the force of the dreaded “Cierzo” wind. Be brave!
Once you have met the challenge, you will have to go to Uncastillo, the town with 3 cultures where there’s much more than only a castle. Our guide will be waiting for you to take you on a walk through its narrow medieval streets and discover the most closely guarded secrets of the stones and each of the cultures that inhabited this town, and how they lived together for centuries facing the dreaded Cierzo.
Once you know the secrets of stone and air, you will be given the second element.

EARTH
Are you ready to find the third element? Now you have to get your boots and mountain equipment to explore the enchanted forest of Luesia.
Beeches, pines, boxes, rocks and wildlife hide many secrets about nature in the Natural Space of the Sierra de Santo Domingo mountains.
You have to penetrate into this forest full of mystery with our forest ranger, who will take you on a 2-hour hike deep into the forest. In silence, following his steps and listening to his interpretation of the surrounding nature you will discover what plants and wildlife have to say. With his help you might be able to hear the “churrundún”.
We know that not everyone can be an explorer, but we are certain that you, who have overcome two previous challenges, will make it and find the third element: earth. If you do, our ranger will hand you the prize at the end of your journey through the enchanted forest of Luesia.
The forests in Sierra de Santo Domingo are uncharted territory, only suitable for adventurers like yourself. Congratulation for obtaining the third element!
WATER
Water is the last element you have to find in this adventure in Cinco Villas. You are well aware it is a scarce commodity we have to look after.
Therefore, in the Aquagraria Museum of Ejea you will have to discover the secret of water and how our ancestors used it wisely for us to progress. To help you discover it, our guide will provide a few keys and, surely, you will be able to find the last element.
Additionally, in the Museum you can see and touch many old agricultural machines that were used to farm the land and grow the delicious crops you enjoy nowadays. Always with the help of water.
Mission accomplished!!
